Castle (Lyrics)

Dark clouds are gathering above the black figure that

Looms large on the top of the mountainous silhouette

Exuding an ominous aura towards the near town

Let its poor people shiver to their bones in upset

Not yet quite certain what they have to expect

Of the castle’s racketeering that augurs badly

It sadly evokes times that still effect hassle now

Wise men do frown when an eerie smoke is rising

Far on the horizon it is beclouding the sky

Involves a roaring sound of a gearing up engine

To satisfy its fate when master’s thirst need quenching

Operated on hatered it won’t run out of fuel

When it steadily generates the old castle’s ghouls

Used like a tool they untiringly labour

The dark count returns

Bringing undead life

To the castle where the ghouls strive

In the highest of towers

A light declaring darker hours

The gleam of its crown

The return of the count, counting on his castle

It’s the return of the count, counting on his castle

One fateful night every single vicious creature

Unite at the ancient building
to complete the procedure

Each there to feature their most frightening skill

Conjure thunder and lightning
to push on the undertaking

A storm never ought to give in
till the dark count’s awakening

Rusty rack-wheels spin, grind on the most ghastly way

Drive the screaming machinery
for obscurity’s sake, away

They drive all lighted centuries
Give way to ill-natured scenery

The dark count returns

Bringing undead life

To the castle where the ghouls strive

In the highest of towers

A light declaring darker hours

The gleam of its crown

The return of the count, counting on his castle

It’s the return of the count, counting on his castle

and its loyal vassals

A place of obscenity, where life turns to death (2 x)

where life turn to death

The dark count returns

Bringing undead life

To the castle where the ghouls strive

In the highest of towers

A light declaring darker hours

The gleam of its crown

The return of the count, counting on his castle

It’s the return of the count, counting on his castle

and its loyal vassals
